Kerala Startups: Kochi and Kozhikode Support Guide
Find Kerala startup and university resources. Plan customer-account support across Kochi, Kozhikode, and distributed teams with a practical handover worksheet.
A startup team can work across several Kerala cities and still maintain one clear account-support process. The difficult part is ownership, not distance.
Use the official resources below to find ecosystem support. Then define how your team handles customer access, recovery, and handover without sharing credentials.
Start with Kerala's published resource routes
Download the resource shortlist. Use the official links to confirm current program details.
| Resource | Location or scope | Published information to review |
|---|---|---|
| Kerala Startup Mission | Statewide | Entrepreneurship and incubation support routes |
| IIMK LIVE | Published locations in Kozhikode and Kochi | Business incubation linked to IIM Kozhikode |
| Digital University Kerala innovation | University in Thiruvananthapuram; initiatives have their own locations | Innovation portfolio, including Maker Village |
Reviewed on 29 October 2026. These are starting points, not rankings or guarantees of admission.
IIMK LIVE identifies itself as IIM Kozhikode's business incubator and entrepreneurship development centre. Confirm the location and delivery mode of a specific program.
Digital University Kerala lists several innovation initiatives. Its university address does not establish the operating location of every initiative.
For Maker Village, the MeitY incubator directory lists Kochi. Confirm current facilities and admission with the program itself.
Choose a program before choosing a commute
Ask whether the support requires residence, regular visits, or remote participation.
Confirm who will provide the support and what the team must deliver. A listed office address does not prove that every program runs there.
For founders outside these cities, ask the state resource team about the relevant local or remote route. Do not assume eligibility from your address alone.
Map the people who operate customer accounts
A distributed team needs clear authority for support actions.
Separate the person who receives a request from the person who can approve a sensitive change. Use named operator accounts.
| Support task | Initial owner | Approval or evidence needed |
|---|---|---|
| Report a login failure | Support operator | Safe error details and time |
| Recover account access | Approved recovery role | Defined proof and procedure |
| Change organization membership | Authorized customer administrator | Membership decision |
| Revoke a suspicious session | Security or account owner | Recorded reason and affected scope |
| Close an account | Account-operations owner | Approved request and data treatment |
Adjust the roles for your team. Avoid giving every founder unrestricted support access.
Use one safe handover record
A support case should survive a shift or city change without exposing a customer secret.
Record the request identifier, affected service, current state, approved actions, and next owner. Store private evidence only in the authorized system.
Do not copy bearer tokens, passwords, or identity documents into a group chat.
Use this handover format:
| Field | What to record |
|---|---|
| Case reference | Internal identifier |
| Customer boundary | Relevant organization or account reference |
| Problem | Observed behavior and time |
| Approved action | What the operator may do |
| Next owner | Named responsible role |
| Completion evidence | Result, not the customer's secret |
A new operator should not need the customer's password to continue the case.
Test recovery across the handover
Run a synthetic recovery case. Let one operator receive it and another complete the approved next step.
Check that the second operator can find the procedure and evidence. Confirm that the first operator cannot approve their own restricted action accidentally.
The secure recovery guide provides the underlying review questions.
Keep demonstrations separate from support
A mentor may need to understand the user journey. That does not require access to a real customer's account.
Prepare a synthetic workspace with the same roles and failure conditions. Use that workspace for cohort sessions and product demonstrations.
If a customer reports a defect, reproduce it with safe test data where possible. Keep production access restricted and recorded.
Review access when a team member leaves
Remove operator membership, sessions, and integrations according to the documented process.
Check recovery destinations and service ownership. A shared email inbox can preserve access after an individual account is disabled.
Use the first-customer operations guide to make these reviews repeatable.
