Building a Startup in Rajasthan: First User Accounts
Plan customer accounts for a Rajasthan startup. Use a launch checklist for roles, recovery, test users, and support before your first pilot.
Retrospective series date: 2026-09-18. This label describes the series order, not a historical publication.
Your first customer account creates work beyond a login screen. You need to control access, recover lost accounts, and remove access when a pilot ends. Plan these tasks before you invite real users.
This guide helps Rajasthan software founders make those decisions. Use it for a new product or an existing prototype.
Use ecosystem support for the right task
iStart Rajasthan is a state startup platform. Its published services include ecosystem connections and support routes. Check its current requirements before you apply.
An incubator may help with business development, mentoring, or workspace. Your team still owns product access and customer data. Ask a mentor to review a specific decision rather than request a general security approval.
Use the Rajasthan resource map to find relevant institution websites. Each institution controls admission and support.
Decide who needs an account
Start with three questions. Who uses the product? Who pays for it? Who can change access?
A marketplace may need buyer, seller, and support roles. A business product may need organization members and administrators. Do not give every test user administrative access.
Write a small access table:
| Actor | Allowed action | Restricted action |
|---|---|---|
| Customer | View their own records | View another customer's records |
| Organization administrator | Invite members to their organization | Change another organization's roles |
| Support operator | Diagnose approved account problems | Read passwords or impersonate users without control |
These are example roles. Replace them with the actions your product requires. Test each restriction through the API.
Choose the account boundary
A person may join more than one organization. Keep the person record separate from organization membership.
Record the active organization in each request where it matters. The server must verify membership before it returns an organization's data. A hidden menu is not an access control.
Read the multi-tenant authentication guide if customers share a platform.
Separate test users from pilot users
Use synthetic records during development. Give the pilot its own environment and access list.
Keep callback URLs, credentials, and user records separate. Do not copy a production identity document into a demo. A prototype can show a verification journey with synthetic evidence.
Before launch, check that a test credential cannot open the pilot environment.
Plan recovery and support
Decide how a user regains access. Recovery must not let a caller bypass stronger authentication through an informal support message.
Name the person who can revoke sessions. Give support a written process with approved evidence and escalation steps. Use the account recovery guide to review the fallback.
Copy this launch checklist
| Decision | Owner | Evidence needed |
|---|---|---|
| Account and organization model | Engineering | Reviewed access table |
| Sign-in method | Product and engineering | Completed test flow |
| Session revocation | Engineering | Revoked session fails |
| Recovery | Support lead | Written recovery procedure |
| Pilot data | Product owner | Approved minimum fields |
| Account closure | Engineering | Access removal test |
| Incident contact | Founder | Named contact and escalation route |
Do not approve a row because a screen exists. Record the observed result.
Compare implementation choices
A library gives your team control and operating responsibility. A managed service can reduce some maintenance work. Generated code still needs the same review.
Evaluate recovery, user operations, session controls, deployment requirements, and support. Use the provider scorecard before choosing.
